I contacted Stonegate Legal regarding a defamation matter. The receptionist asked for a brief description and scheduled a phone consultation, explaining that fees would only apply if I chose to proceed with representation after the consultation. However, I never received the consultation call. Instead, I later received an email stating I would now need to pay for a consultation because my initial conversation with the receptionist was considered a consultation. I found this misleading and unprofessional.

Absolutely awful. Do not deal with them, they charged me for a brief that was incorrect and full of errors that I had to fix. Then charged me for a tonne of work that I was never told I needed. I have changed lawyers because they’ve simoly too difficult to deal with. Damon was assigned to me.
Damon was incredible! I couldn't recommend him more for anyone needing extra assistance navigating with the ATO and small business. Thank you so much!
