This place is terrifying. My grandfather laid on the bathroom floor for God knows how long pressing the button to no avail. My uncle showed up and found him. Their excuse is the button wasn't working, that's not an excuse. They're responsible for your loved ones and have no accountability to their actions. He was there left for dead and had to be rushed to the hospital.
I recently toured this community while exploring independent living options for my mom, and I was truly impressed. I don't know that I can accurately convey my appreciation for all the staff of American House. My dad was brought to their memory care as he was rapidly starting to decline. The staff from administration, front desk (Lara especially), Norah, Rod, Katie, Hilary, Michaela, Ashley, nurses, dietary were amazing. Not only were they so sweet in caring for my dad, they cared for my mom and I during a very difficult time.
