Excellent Park! You can spend an entire day at Stone Mountain Park and not spend a dime! My wife and I walked from Stone Mountain Village where we were staying and entered from the west entrance. There is no fee for foot traffic into the park. The hike to the top is a must! We enjoyed the glass blowing in the Village and the carving was spectacular. Stay at the Village Inn B @ B in Stone Mountain Village, it has a great view of Stone Mountain. It may be a bit haunted as well!

Good outdoors day Having grown up in the mountains, I was at first disappointed with stone "mountain," but ended up really enjoying the trek to the top. The view was beautiful and the fall weather was perfect for a mountaintop picnic.

A family favorite I've been going to Stone Mountain since I was a kid. We always get the season parking pass, because it's definitely worth it if you plan on going several times in a year. The hike up the mountain is very doable and is a great way to spend a Saturday. Hike up, chill at the top, and hike down (or pay for the sky-tram kind of thing). The Laser Show is a must-see if you've never seen it before. Get to the lawn early to get a good spot, because it gets pretty crowded during the summer.

A hikers dream Walking here is not a problem. There are various areas that you can walk to and from as well as climb the mountain. There are many venues for all sorts and the laser show is awesome. Rent a pavillion and stay the day.

Stone Mountain I have been to Stone Mountain GA several times since I was a kid. I remember the laser shows when I was younger, they were so cool and just amazing. I remember hiking up that huge mountain and there being a mini educational movie theatre on the top! We used to camp and that was always fun. I remember lots of bees in the summer one year. It's a great place for the whole family!

good place Stone mountain is one of very few good places in Georgia you definitely should go. They have a lot of different resorts and laser shows at night is great. Also it is a good place for family gathering and reunions.

Expensive but Fun filled day Its a great place in Atlanta to spend a fun happy day with friends and family. Lot of activities to do...they have a trolley ride to the top of the mountain...it is a very scenic picture and lot of fun things for kids to also do...great place to for dating without spending to much...you can just relax in the park , grab food and admire the beauty around.

GREAT day trip Stone Mountain is one of our favorite places to take visitors. There are museums there, the plantation houses are a neat little tour. My son loves the train ride around the mountain and we have done all the attractions there- the boat, the gondola up to the top of the mountain, the great Barn, the outdoor kids' section, etc. If you can stay late, the laser light show and fireworks are really great. Really worth the trip. And of course the hike up the mountain is well worth the view!
