First room they gave us had a broken toilet. There was old hair under the mattress and garbage behind the night table. Rooms aren't being fully cleaned. They switched us to a second room, and there was pizza boxes and garbage from the previous person under the sink. Faucet in the washroom kept running and wouldn't shut off. The second room also had old hair under the mattress. Corners of the room were not clean. We asked for compensation for our trouble and was told the manager would reach out to us. Not at all as advertised! There is no food,no pub menu,no pub, no hot tub, no fitness center, no robes in the room. We came from out of town and chose a hotel based on the amenities advertised on the website. We had to get back in the car and go out to find something to eat. There is no hot tub! I am recovering from shoulder surgery and very specifically chose a place with a hot tub. There is a small pool with vinyl liner which has seen better days, but it was warm! Overall I feel deceived. Overall was pretty good, breakfast could have had more options but was sufficient enough. The rooms were big and cozy!

Stone gate inn provided my family and me with excellent service and care, especially manager Atar who went above expected to make us feel welcomed and accommodated in our needs. Because of him and his staff we would surely come back to this interesting city of Orilia

We stayed at Stone Gate Inn during the family day weekend in 2026. Our family stayed at this location several times last year to visit Horseshoe Valley and we were so impressed with the coziness and service of this place we decided to bring our extended family as well this year. We booked a block of rooms. Atthar is a fantastic host, his service is the kind you expect all places to offer (but sadly don't) and that's what makes this place a real gem.
