I have been in combat sports for over 20 years staph infections are part of it. I told him I have been experiencing sores related to staph infection and have been treating them topically with minimal results and would like to ask for a prescription for oral antibiotics. His response was it may be time to find a new career. Dr. Stone is easily one of the most educated doctors I have spoken to in a while. He is knowledgeable and well up to date with current studies and medical journals! We had an incredibly thorough discussion on LiveMD about the ailments I am dealing with and other issues that did not pertain to the call, but he was willing to discuss it anyway. Dr. Stone took a phone call DURING my telehealth appointment and also told me “you’ll live” when I was describing my symptoms that had been persisting for a month.
I had a consult today with Dr. Stone through MDLive. Dr. Stone called me promptly, went over my history, discussed my symptoms and explained my choices of treatment. Additionally, he has a good personality and was easy to talk to. I can only guess the poor reviews are from those that think MDLive is to replace an in-person doctor visit, which it isn’t. I would request Dr. Stone in the future.
