Wonderful Mil to visit. We were given a great tour by someone who worked at the mill when it was still in production. This is a turbine powered roller mill and the turbines are operational. It's rare to see a historic roller mill running, they are not grinding, but all the equipment is operational. It even has an original indoor bathroom but I would not recommend trying it out.
Sadly the mill was not open on this cold winter’s day. But that gives me a reason to return. Very lovely place.
Got to Mill after tours so only saw Mill from a distance .Tours on Saturday.Just took a few pictures at sunset.
Amazing landmark roller mill dating from 1857. Volunteers have been restoring it since the the non-profit Foundation was formed in 2001. Fantastic to see the machinery in action!
