Diane, the owner, lent an unparalleled personal touch to our stay. Our room was big and well-appointed. Lots of towels! Breakfast was excellent. I have only one word of caution—for people with mobility problems—all the rooms are upstairs and there are no elevators (although staff is more than happy to help with luggage).

We picked this hotel for its proximity to Tanglewood. Overall the experience was ok but did not live up to expectations given what we paid. The Inn itself is beautiful and in a quiet location but is a bit rundown with wallpaper peeling in some areas. The driveway is very steep especially at the edge of the road so if you have a low car you will not make it without a scratch if at all. Diane and her staff make you feel right at home. Well kept grounds, very clean interior and cozy atmosphere. Convenient location and delicious breakfast. It is perfect for your Berkshires getaway!

We had a delightful stay at the Stockbridge Country Inn. It's a little oasis less than 2 miles from downtown and close to both the the Norman Rockwell Museum and Tanglewood. You can see that the owner, Diane, takes pride in her place, which has several beautiful common areas. Our room was roomy and comfortable, AC was terrific and the morning breakfast was outstanding! We will gladly return in the future!
