a great yarn shop This is a great yarn shop. Most of the yarns are high end, quality yarns, many natural fibers. The sales staff and owner are all experienced knitters and can help with problems that one might encounter.
a great place to learn knitting I've just gotten reacquainted with knitting after a lapse of about 35 years. This is a huge store with an amazing selection of yarns. The staff is helpful and doesn't make you feel stupid. They have no problem with you buying the yarn and then coming in whenever you need some advice or instruction. It's a great little environment with a large table and comfortable chairs. At any given time there will be customers sitting there knitting and schmoozing.
