BEST TEACHER EVER!! Only my 2nd class and I made this pillow… as they say: “from scratch!” YES! THE BUTTONS/HOLES TOO! I was pretty intimidated by the very thought of sewing on a machine again after almost 40 yrs ago in “Home Ec” class. Jamila was SO patient and kind, yet also did not play any games about learning and properly using the skills and art of sewing. I have taken each of the introduction classes and the alterations class, and I love it! Jamila is patient and she explains everything well. She provides handa on support. There is always a great friendly feeling in each class. I always look forward to my classes.

Amazing class! The instructor’s teaching style was fun, engaging, and truly memorable. I enjoyed every minute and was actually sad when the time ran out! With just one class, she’s gained a lifelong student — I’m already looking forward to signing up for every session I can. I had so much fun!
I am extremely impressed! My 9 year old granddaughter loves attending her class on Saturday. On her very first day she was so proud of her PILLOW. As soon as she got into the car she said, “I MADE THIS ALL BY MYSELF; I KNOW HOW TO SEW!” A couple of days ago she showed me a pair of her favorite leggings that had split.
