My wife has been diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease. After she ha a fall we decided to transitional care at Good Samaritan. It was a wise decision. All the staff were very good especially the therapists, nurses and aides. They helped to get us to a point where we're back at home and comfortable feeling safe.
My Mother is a resident at Good Samaritan in Stillwater since December 2023, and was in short term care following a surgery. We are very pleased with her living situation and the care she receives. I can't say enough about how loving and caring the staff has been to my mom. Even though this was a big transition for my mom, she is very happy at Good Samaritan Stillwater. The administrator Matt is terrible, it’s no wonder they are short staffed. People quitting left and right.
Do not let hospital transfer your loved one here. I've learned as I go along with an aging parent but unfortunately this place was my entry level to the world of elder care. Communication is vague when you do get someone to talk to you. "Social Work" department unhelpful. Medically my Mother sat there with a UTI and blood in her stools for 15 days. My first shift through Grape Tree, it's a bit disappointing.I reach my destination and patiently stand by the entrance. After 18 minutes have passed, I notice a man carrying a garbage bag. He completely ignored me. I repeatedly rang the doorbell, but after waiting for 5 minutes, I trusted my instincts and decided to leave and go home. Upon reviewing the initial feedback, I am confident that I chose correctly.
