Crap quality and service. Had 2 of these under sink heaters now in 13 years. Have been told by plumbers they should last 10 plus years each. When the first one went it was still in warranty when I contacted them they said “oh sorry we’ve revised the warranty period and yours is now not covered” $800 later and a new one put in. 2nd one has just gone. Getting rid of it completely. Didn’t even bother ringing them because I know the kind of after sales service they have.
Don't buy a Stiebel Eltron heat pump outside of a metro area because their capacity to provide service, even in a city of more than 400,000 like Canberra, is NIL.
Only leaving one star as I can’t leave zero. Bought a heat pump 2 years and 11 months ago, it stopped working 2 days ago, out of warranty, $6100 and no responsibility taken. The people who installed it won’t even take a cover off to diagnose it (plum first). Plumb First have advised me that they are able to purchase new units from them but cannot buy spare parts from them? Ridiculous!
