I installed this Steibel Eltron water system because I trusted the brand, but it has been a complete disaster. My previous system worked flawlessly, but this one has broken down within three years. Absolute flop of a service tech
Poorly designed and engineered shc10au under bench heater. 5.5yrs old and corroded out ,no mention about sacrificial anode that needs replacing every 3 years at cost of $400 . Poor parts backup , anode stored at Melbourne branch only , ( service item) instead of each state , Buy Australian product that lasts 20 years . Don't buy !!!
Don't buy a Stiebel Eltron heat pump outside of a metro area because their capacity to provide service, even in a city of more than 400,000 like Canberra, is NIL.
We have been using a Stiebel-Eltron under sink hot-water system for a few years. It has been a great addition to our kitchen, eliminating water loss waiting for the hot water to flow and providing very hot water instantly. We had a problem with it recently, and S-E were great in helping us and replacing with a new unit.
