The experience was made terrible because of Mel’s hostile and disrespectful customer service. Every single time we go to that branch she is an absolute terror to deal with and is very rude, dismissive and condescending. Her behaviour is very abrupt and today, she made us and this elderly lady behind us wait 45 minutes for a 2 minute job for the coin machine. Mel is an absolute terror to work with. Every single time I come to this branch, her customer service is absolutely disgusting. She’s constantly rude, dismissive and abrupt. She’s just horrific to deal with. Other people in the centre are ok but she (who is the front woman) has the most disgusting behaviour ever. Please deal will Mel if you appreciate volatile behaviour.
20/03/2026 I've banked with St George my entire adult life, so I didn't think anything of visiting my local branch to ask for some coin bags for work. The clerk gave me the dirtiest, most suspicious look ever before handing me about six coin bags (thanks). Went to ANZ nearby, where I have never banked, and the guy there cheerfully gave me a big bundle of coin bags. It was nice not to be treated with utter disdain.
Went to sort out a online payment issue They referred me and gave these phone numbers to ring who deal in fraud and customer safety issues I spent almost 3 hours being passed from one person to another! The last person said he couldn't help stating I didn't have enough ID after I verified my identity at the bank branch ! I dont why these people are still working at the with such poor customer service?
