If I sell my house again and see the buyer is using Stewart Title, I'm going with a different offer. Signed our closing documents on a Friday, with the house closing the next week. The day of closing they realized they forgot to have us sign a required form and that they didn't ask me for a voided check or bank statement to ensure our funds went to the right account. Apparently they don't read emails. Too many mistakes and mix ups for comfort. This is concerning for a title company. Their way of dealing with errors is saying sorry. While the apology is appreciated, it will not cut it in some instances in this industry. How about this, stop making constant mistakes so you don't have to be sorry.
Always disappointed. Its seems that everytime I deal with them there is a misunderstanding of basic real estate laws and statutes.
Very professional and kind individuals that are always available for clarification and guidance.
