I suppose he knows what he's doing as a doctor. However, the practice was represented as participating in our insurance plan. But then billled us hundreds of thousands of dollars for what the insurance didn't pay on the basis of their being out-of-network. I also suspect shenanigans in the push for surgery quickly and the offer to allow one to cut the line by claiming an emergency. This appears to also be a way of billing higher rates for out-of-network.
