Well the corporate entity that took over from the Family owned company (Stevenson) has unfortunately made this experience less than ideal. I scheduled a recall repair several weeks out. Was told service would be about 45 min. Showed up for a morning appointment. At which point the wait was undetermined. "Could be a couple hours." I was told. 8:15 AM appointment and at 1:45 PM I am finally able to pick up car. So no problem with staff, they were great. This is purely a corporate problem. Seven hours. For a 30,000 mile maintenance. I was told there might be a 2.5 hour delay but I was lucky to get out of there before dark. And my work order was even stamped Priority by someone. Didn't matter. There were just too many cars being serviced in one day. I do believe the parent company that runs Stevenson now is more interested in their own financial gains than treating their customers with respect. I will be looking for another service company.
I had a Prius that I had serviced here for 7 years without any issues. I always had great service. They recommended appropriate services, even used to wash and vacuum out your car when you brought it in for service. I've been a faithful customer since around 2013 and was always very happy with the service I got here. When I got a Rav4 in 2020 I brought it here for service as well, even though it meant driving to the other side of town from where I lived because I trusted them to do a good job. I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at Stevinson Toyota in Golden when attempting to return a wheel lock for my Lexus RX 350. After buying the part based on a guess—since these locks are all quite similar—I quickly realized it didn’t fit. This location is about an hour’s drive from where I live, so I couldn’t return it immediately.
