Ok first 100% agree with all other posts if: 1. You are in no rush to get your car back in a hurry. 2. You are aware that if you need a new battery that the ones they have have been sitting for a long time and possibly may fail when you least want or expect. 3. 21st century cars with electronics, fuel injection beyond basic servicing will pose a challenge.
