I would rather highlight the ladies that work in the front office rather than Dr Wunschel. The very first visit my husband and I went to the doctor made it very clear that he "had 30 years of experience and he knew what he was talking about" while initially that brought a little hope that we would get things figured out the very next appointment the doctor was very rude and condescending. he shut down every thought or idea or even conversation about what was happening with my husband. FIVE STARS for Dr. Steven Wunschel, urologist in Sonora. Steven has been practicing urology for many years and patients are in good hands with Steven being their doctor. He is not only friendly but will discuss with you the latest treatments and recommend the best one for you. My experience in the past has been some less than good urologists in Sonora. Adventist Health needs to do a better job of getting top specialists to set up practice in Sonora. Scott Reed
Dr. Wunschel and his staff did a great job. They blasted some kidney stones and while I was a little sore after the procedure (as I expected to be), I was back to myself the very next morning.
Very caring and helpful.
My uncle went in for a simple 30 minute outpatient procedure. He never left the facility. Died 9 days later and the doctor released him from his care 1 day after the procedure and never checked on him again.
