I had to submit several items in order to get an appointment (which wasnt easy). The Dr showed NO compassion, NO care. It was a under a 5 minute "matter-of-fact" visit. I was rejected probably because I wasn't white enough like ALL his other patients. I've never had such a horrendous experience with ANY Dr I've seen in my entire life. He said he wouldn't do surgery on me unless my A1C was under 7 and I lost more weight & said "it doesn't look like anytime soon". Very personable doctor who was nice enough to provide a detailed second opinion for us. He saw us very quickly, researched everything very well and explained it perfectly. Very, very sweet staff also. He is “a keeper”.
If you want the best, you get the best service and care with Dr Abbate. GOD bless him
I'm really late writing this review that is well overdue. Dr Abbate is simply world-class in his profession. The same can be said of his staff. I had the most frightening experience about 9 years ago (Summer of 2013) in which a gallstone was released from my gallbladder causing significant injury and inflammation to my pancreas. I needed to have colon surgery and gallbladder removed, but had to wait a significant amount of time to let my pancreas heal. During my hospital stay it was Dr Abbate tending to my medical care.
