My husband experienced a serious eye injury resulting in complete loss of vision in his right eye. His pupil was damaged and would not dilate which also made the glare from light very painful. I’m a 62 year old woman who had some previous cataract surgery complications in both eyes. Dr Safran improved my quality of life 100%. I’m comfortable driving again, especially at night. After a botched cataract surgery on my left eye that rapture the lens capsule and severly damaged my Iris, I needed aditional surgeries. First a Retina doctor to remove the original lens fragments that fell in back of my eye then after 4 weeks of waiting to heal he placed a lens on the sulcus. By this time I was told that I needed a Cornea transplant because of Cornea adema, so I saw a Cornea specialist but she referred me to Dr. Safran due the dificulty of my case. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Dr. Steven G. Safran’s office, in particular, Jennifer, and I feel compelled to warn others before seeking care here. First, I sent my insurance card to their office before my appointment to confirm coverage. I was explicitly assured by the secretary that they were in-network with my insurance.
