I am deeply thankful to Dr. Safran for his exceptional care in managing my complex right eye condition. As a physician I have to give Dr. Safran 5 stars. My cataract surgery with toric lens went flawlessly. For the first day I had hazy and blurry vision. After seeing him at 1day post op he injected my eye with a few drops of steroid and immediately vision improved. At 2 days haze was gone, halos were gone and vision is improving by the hour. At four days colors are brighter and vision is totally clear. I don’t ever remember having better and clearer vision. Kudos to terrific physician.

My husband experienced a serious eye injury resulting in complete loss of vision in his right eye. His pupil was damaged and would not dilate which also made the glare from light very painful. After meeting with 3 eye specialists here in KY that were not experienced in treating this type of eye trauma, we were finally referred to Dr Safran. I’m a 62 year old woman who had some previous cataract surgery complications in both eyes. Dr Safran improved my quality of life 100%. I’m comfortable driving again, especially at night. The “halo effect” is no longer an issue. My balance and my yoga practice are restored and I don’t feel like I’m going to fall down anymore. I feel more confident hiking and walking my dogs.
