Dr. Safran performed an IOL exchange because I had a dislocated lens. I had 2 different surgeons who couldn't perform the surgery. I found Dr. Safran through a referral from another surgeon and I struck gold. His office and staff were so helpful and professional from start to finish. Dr. Safran is caring, professional and extremely talented. The Hopewell Campus of the Capital Health System was the best hospital I have ever been treated in for a surgical procedure. I am deeply thankful to Dr. Safran for his exceptional care in managing my complex right eye condition. Nearly a decade ago in India, I was diagnosed with a parasitic infection that led to two full corneal transplants, followed by cataract surgery with IOP management. Although these interventions temporarily restored my vision, the cornea was eventually rejected five years later. A subsequent DSEK procedure in India did not yield meaningful improvement. As a physician I have to give Dr. Safran 5 stars. My cataract surgery with toric lens went flawlessly. For the first day I had hazy and blurry vision. After seeing him at 1day post op he injected my eye with a few drops of steroid and immediately vision improved. At 2 days haze was gone, halos were gone and vision is improving by the hour. At four days colors are brighter and vision is totally clear. I don’t ever remember having better and clearer vision. Kudos to terrific physician.
