I had a phlebectomy performed by Dr. Friedman. He did an excellent job explaining and performing the procedure. The team at his office in Lake Success is excellent. Susan, Lucille and Melvin were super accommodating and caring every time I went there or spoke to them on the phone. Top notch experience.
Our experience with Dr. Friedman was in short a complete waste of time. My daughter was experiencing leg pain, swelling, burning, and tingling of the lower limbs. The office completed a Doppler and advised her there were no clots. Dr Friedman did not physically examine her legs to evaluate the current condition of her vericose veins. He offered no recommendations ie use of support hose, elevating legs or possible alternatives such as sclerotherapy. I have never felt so dismissed by a doctor. Please tell me how you could tell that my feet were warm and well perfused when I never took of my shoes and socks. Also, strong pulses in all four extremities can not be determined without actually taking the pulses.
The scheduling staff is extremely rude. I have never had someone raise their voice to me while trying to schedule a doctor's appointment. She yelled into the phone "you don't seem to understand how this office works". I am sorry, I do not have the mental and emotional capacity to deal with such rudeness, especially when I am trying to care for a loved one and assist with medical needs.
Following a car accident which resulted in a lot of pain and a lot of Doctors, I was sent to see Dr. Friedman for a potential bilateral vascular issue in my arms and legs. Scary. Needless to say, I was nervous about the testing. Everyone at Dr. Friedman's office was fantastic and put me at ease! Starting with Susan answering the phone when I called to schedule the appointment - a really warm, lovely person, and not an automated message and I didn't have to press 1 or anything.
