My elderly mother has been to see him several times. He shows little to no interest in her issues, has blocked her Home Care possibilities and I can't ever get him to respond to my mother directly. She is in early stage dementia, has swelling of legs and he just asks, "so what else is going on?" and is ready to send her out the door. We have to ask, "hey doc, why are the legs swelling, can you run a urine test for kidney function?" and he goes, "oh good ideas, good questions..."
