I've had this doctor as my personal care physician for the past 15 years. I've followed him from one office in Santa Cruz to his office with Sutter Health Care in Watsonville. He has almost become a friend and not just a doctor. He really cares about his patients and will take his time with you, even if it means spending more time than given him because of being busy with many other patients. I would not want another doctor to care for me and about my health.
Dr Cortes never leaves you wondering about your health issues. He spends plenty of time to be sure you understand.
Dr. Cortes is very competent, up to date in current medical solutions and very good at providing information on negative impacts as well so that his patients receive full disclosure and can properly decide if treatments are right for them. His care and concern for his patients is fabulous. He was my 83 year old father's pcp and as a result of my observing him care for my father, he is now my pcp too. We feel so well cared for with Dr. Cortes.
My former doctor retired and I had to renew prescriptions. Seeing a new doctor was a scary prospect for me since I have a history of ailments that aren't easy to explain and treat. I LOVE Dr. Cortes. I got in at the last minute, he spent a lot of time listening to my concerns and issues, gave me many new ideas and thoughts for treatment, I have new hope for a better, healthier future. I am looking forward to seeing him again. When have you been excited to see your doctor?!?
