Room size was great, great views, but vacasa has the worst customer service. The 1st night we asked for an extra blanket they told me to send a screen shot of where it said they offer extra blankets so I did and I never heard back or got an extra blanket, the next day, I started the washer and ran all night long never shutting off and I had to manually change it through cycles, then I put it in the dryer and IT DOESNT WORK! We have stayed at Sterling Sands many decades! June of 2025 was our latest trip to this wonderful location. Great location, The owners keep units updated and in great shape. Right on beach with wonderful beach service. Close to activities for Children, grocery shopping and lots of restaurants. Easy leisurely walk to one of Destin's great beach front grills "The Back Porch".
I am a Delivery driver, not a tenant, so I have no info on rooms. I DO know that the elevators area liability. I tried to hold one open for a group, and it almost closed on my arm! They're also incredibly rickety. Then, when I went to talk to the front desk about it, the door was LOCKED and nobody was inside to report it to! At 8:30pm!!! This building is a lawsuit in the making.
Room 810. Horrible service. Nothing worked in the room even after calling maintenance to fix it, they never came by to fix it
the room is nice. expect to pay an extra 1200 so you can even sit near the beach. you are unable to put your chairs near the water and MUST reserve chairs. the chair salesman dude came up to us on day 1 (not even knowing the rules) and was EXTREMELY rude telling us we had to move our chairs or pay the $1200 (in which, you have to reserve about 4 weeks in advance)
