I had a wonderful experience at Sterling Optical in Islandia! The eye care specialist, Kelly was absolutely amazing. She was so polite, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout my visit. My eye exam with the doctor was very thorough, and I felt well taken care of from start to finish. The entire staff is always so lovely and welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. Highly recommend this location!
Absolutely terrible experience. The owner, Raj, made me feel super uncomfortable the entire time and kept pushing pointless “upgrades” like I didn’t know what I needed. The staff wasn’t any better, fake nice, zero real customer service, and they could barely communicate with me due to language barrier. The whole thing was a mess from the exam to the end. Save yourself the stress and DO NOT go to this place. I walked out frustrated, overwhelmed, and honestly wishing I had never stepped inside.
Sophia was wonderful in getting new glasses. She took her time and explained everything to us. Thank you, Sterling for having such a wonderful employee help us.
They lie to get more money here, they told me my prescription was "too strong" and required a special lens that my insurance wouldn't cover and would be hundreds of dollars, went somewhere else and they said what are you talking about your insurance covers it and I had my lenses and frames covered, shameful.
