I've been cooking in many assistant living facilities around Florida and I'll say this that the care staff does a great job at caring for the residents here then many places. I can also tell you that the cooks work hard to make sure the food is cooked by recipes not out of a box like most places I've worked.
I wanted to share what a wonderful experience. My family had at Vista Lake. Tish, the Director of nursing and her care team performed exceptional care. Greg, the administrator was always very attentive to our needs and miss Denise was always available. Every time I called or texted her. I would highly recommend considering Vista Lake for your loved ones. You will not be disappointed.
Tish and the clinical staff are excellent at communicating with families. Penny is top notch with activities and the fun stuff. thanks for keeping our residents and families happy!
I just saw Christina’s review, and I agree. I went there to visit my mom on a surprise visit. I used her bathroom and saw used adult diapers piled high in the garbage can, and I couldn’t breathe because the urine smell was so bad!!! Also, I bought her beautiful adult coloring books and a huge box of colored pencils for her to relax to. The next day they were gone. My mom spent 10mths in the memory care unit… My brother had right of attorney, otherwise, I would have taken her out ASAP! Unfortunately, she died under their care… The room always smelled like urine; My mom said she was abused(she suffered from dementia, so take that into consideration); Gifts she received, were always missing…even the next day, & the staff blamed it on the other patients; Very depressing atmosphere!
