I would give a zero rating . I called and explained that I was homeless and freezing. I am also a diabetic . I was told they were not sheltering anyone. Then she said she could have me put in a homeless shelter in Danville or Roanoke. That's hours from me. How would I get there? Makes no sense .

If I could give no stars. I would. I lost my home in a house fire a week ago and I was referred to STEPs for possible housing. They told me there was nothing they could do for me, even though I have no real place to stay. I am flabbergasted and disgusted by this. Whats even the point of this company existing if they don't help the people who need it??

Rude woman. Took it upon herself to guess my circumstances, which blew my mind. Then offered to ship me to Danville like a useless parcel. Zero empathy shouldn't be paid a salary, hope she's a volunteer. Cause lady you don't have what it takes to work that job! Wondering if your organization should be looked into with a fine comb by the feds?!

They don't care about helping others unless you're their family or close friend. They rather see the community go homeless and HUGE liars and beyond lazy.
