Stephenson Intl was pleased to attend to an elegant networking dinner last night at Palma Ceia Country Club. Hosted by Micheal Mauricio of Florida Produce, we met with Cuban government officials - Yusel Arias, Advisor to Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investments, Juan Lamigueiro, Deputy Chief of Mission & Miguel Velez, First Secretary, Commercial Office. Stephenson Intl has represented Mike Mauricio in many agricultural shipments down to Cuba.
We enjoyed lunch at the State of the Port address yesterday. We were shown photos of the new gantry/container cranes which are soon coming & heard about what the completion of the Panama Canal expansion means for Tampa. Also, Paul Anderson, the Port Director for Port Tampa Bay, stressed that their job as a port is to give the private sector the resources to be successful.
