I had ACL revision surgery with Dr. Stephen Mathew in November 2024, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Dr. Mathew was thorough, patient, and explained everything in a way that made me feel confident and comfortable. In my opinion, Dr. Mathew is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon and I would highly recommend him. He has performed two surgeries on me. The first surgery was in 2021 to repair my right rotator cuff and the second surgery was in 2025 to repair my left rotator cuff. On both surgeries, I was very pleased with not only how he communicates with you in terms that you can understand and what your options are, but with his surgical skills. Dr. Mathew performed surgery on my right shoulder. He explained the procedure and time it would take to get well. He was very friendly in explaining the work I was going to have to do to get back to using my shoulder. I would highly recommended him for shoulder surgery.
Unfortunate circumstances led me to meeting Dr. Mathew. I tore my ACL on Christmas Day while skiing with my family out of state. Dr. Mathew was able to see me fairly quickly after I returned to Texas. He made sure to explain everything to me throughout the whole process (pre-diagnosis, post diagnosis, pre-operative, and postoperative) and answered any questions that I had while making sure my concerns were addressed. Dr. Mathew was able to make two small incisions to remove torn meniscus material. This very attentive surgeon and his team made the procedure go smoothly. Highly recommended.
