Dr. Mathew is, in my opinion, one of the best doctors I have ever visited. From diagnosis to post-op, he clearly and concisely communicated all information in a manner I could easily understand. During our first visit, he accurately diagnosed a torn meniscus in my left knee, confirmed diagnosis with medical imaging and surgically removed torn cartilage. Very friendly and courteous doctor who took the time necessary to explain the repairs to my shoulder and what to expect during surgery, post operation and during the months of recovery and therapy. Surgery performed exceptionally well and recovery was much easier than anticipated and restored the shoulder to near 100%.
If you are looking for a doctor for surgery I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Mathew. He is not only a doctor but a person I felt who really cared about me and my problem. I found him to be a kind, personal, friendly and professional to the core. Bedside manners plus some extra is Dr. Mathew. I've had two surgeries by Dr. Matthew. An elbow tendon reattachment and Knee Ortho surgeries. Both surgeries went great with good rehab at BS&W. Recovery was quick and complete. Pre-surgery consultation was thorough with all options explained.
Dr. Mathew performed rotator cuff surgery on me and the results have been very good. He was very patient with all my questions throughout the whole process and his office employees were very nice and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him and his team.
