Our seats were in Mezzanine GG for a Wednesday matinee performance of Beautiful. They were comfortable and afforded a great view of the stage. Entry into the theater was smooth, even though the cue line was extremely long. There is only one ladies room for a seating capacity of approximately 1000 people. However, the long serpentine line moved quickly and smoothly, due in large part to the excellent staff at the theater. Acoustically it was very enjoyable.

It was my first Broadway play and it was a great experience. I look forward to going to another in the future.
Recently saw "Beautiful, the Carol King" musical. Great show and while the Sondheim Theater is a very attractive venue. The seats were HORRIBLE. To tight and not enough legroom. I spent the whole evening with my knees pressed against the back of the seat in front of me.

This is one of the updated theaters that I've been to in the NYC Theater District. I realized this last time that I went there, that I have been there before. First for "Anything Goes" and then this last time for "Beautiful". Its different from other theaters in that the orchestra section is the one that requires you to go down a flight of stairs to get to it. They have an elevator though to get to it too. I had a fantastic time and a "Beautiful" experience at this theatre. My seat was great. Even if I had a 6 foot person in front of me, I could still see the whole stage. The ladies room was clean and run smoothly so we got in and out in plenty of time to get back to the show with time to spare at intermission. Being partially handicapped I had to use the elevator to go to the ladies room. It was huge! Truly a wonderful experience.
Amazing! The whole ensomble was amazing for Beautiful! Chilina Kennedy had total command of the show. A must see!
