Late post. In 2006 I had a stroke flying from LAX to TPA. I was drop off in New Orleans and taking to Ochsner . At that time I never heard of this Hospital nor their specialties, by luck I end it with Dr Ramee. After two strokes at the age of 40 he finally found what was wrong with me, something that in Tampa could not tell me a reason of the strokes . He found I had a valve problem and proceeded to perform a PFO (in 2006) . He saved my life. Eternally grateful for finding and curing my heart.

He was very thorough with explaining my condition and the procedure necessary to correct the problem. Also was not hurried and was patient with answering all my guestions and those of my family members that were with me at the appointment
Everyone in the cardiac unit that I came in contact with was very professional. They were all knowledgeable about my health needs. The appointment was on schedule. I felt tension at first because I was worried not knowing what to expect. I was shown pictures and a full explanation of the heart values and their functions. After the explanation my fears and tensions dissipated. I was very confident that I was in the company of professionals.
