great family doctor. very thorough and respectful
This guy is disrespectful and condescending. My mom came home crying after her visit.
Dr Staten was my doctor fur many years. I started noticing that he was forgetting my name, not documenting things in my chart, not keeping up with current medicine which should have shown “no longer taking”, etc. His staff has admitted that he has been starting to forget things since 2018. I left and went with Dr Bjorn who used to work with him and has had his own practice. I felt a lot more confident with my medical care under Dr Bjorn.
He's been my doctor for 30 years. Started out a wonderful doctor but through the years he's gotten increasingly disrespectful, even laughing at my complaints at one point and brushing them away. An ER doc later diagnosed my condition. I dont know why he has become so unkind and impatient. I switched, finally, to another doctor who actually listens to me.
Dr. Staten was my husband’s primary care doctor. Why my husband didn’t leave Dr. Staten’s care I do not understand? His first visit took us over a hour for him to come in the examining room. I went with him to the appointment. Over the years their relationship was combative. I found Dr. Staten to be arrogant, condescending, and disrespectful. I noticed an outbreak of herpes on my lip on a Friday morning and promptly took the last of my supply of valacyclovir with the next required dose within 24 hrs. I called the office immediately to request a refill. I was told my request was marked “priority” and shouldn’t be a problem. When no such request made it to my pharmacy hours later, I called the office again at 3pm. Very friendly staff. Doc is very thorough and doesn't take short cuts. I've seen too many doctors that just want you in and out.
Never truly listens to issues, acts like he's in a hurry and you're taking up his time. Tries to leave without addressing all of your concerns and issues. Makes you feel as if you're a liar when it comes to your own thoughts, issues, and experiences. Throws religious rhetoric at you when it is not asked for or appreciate.
