Being a type 1 diabetic is hard enough. The lack of communication and help from Stephanie is honestly terrible. This is the first ever bad review I’ve ever written, but when it comes to health, things are serious. Lack of sense of urgency, weeks on weeks between responses, and little to no help. I’m confused how such an unorganized person/ doctor is responsible for such an important task here. THESE ARE PEOPLES LIVES !!! Dr. Hakimian is a young extremely professional and personal with a great bed side matter. She spends the time needed and asks the questions to make the right decisions for the care needed. I have spent over 20 years with poor control of my illness. Within 1 year I am doing amazing with the treatment being provided. I think she is a great person and doctor with a great bed side manner. She is the BEST endocrinologist I have ever seen. Thank you Dr Stephanie!
UPMC is an absolute joke. I was sick for apt. I called to cancel to NOT spread illness in December. They won’t see me til September of 2025. Utter chaos there. The dr herself is okay. I’m leaving all UPMC drs. My suggestion is do not use any UPMC drs and definitely don’t go here, you won’t get a call back, you won’t get scheduled quick.
While I am very satisfied with Dr. Hakimian herself, I have many complaints about getting through to the New Castle office, meaning it is impossible to get through to this office. I am an established patient with this physician and cannot get an in patient appointment for 12 1/2 months. This office set up an appointment for me with out calling me, they just sent a message, to me this is very very poor dr patient care.
