As a team member who has been her 20+ years, I can say we do everything with heart. The building is not new, but our new owners have already started to provide the TLC that building has been needing for years. This mixed with our 5 star quality measures and the heart that we have will truly let the team soar.
This morning, I arrived at 06:50am in hopes of a 'first in, first out' . But when I got walked in, there were already eight people waiting for the door to open. By 07:10am no one had shown up and the frustration was starting to show. Finally, one of the people waiting tried the door, and to everyone's surprise, the door opened. Me,my husband and our 14 month old daughter came to the pediatric side of the emergency room. She had a fever at 3 am on September 30th,2025. They checked her in and took her vitals. They escorted us to a back room. After waiting an hour or a little more, NO ONE came to check on her. We asked 2 different nurses about coming to see us. That no one has come yet. Caution- Question everything and ensure you have someone with you at all times. Wrong meds, four hour wait for help, instructions and questions while still sedated, no wound care instructions about removing bandages, released prematurely before all tests reviewed by doctor - I could go on. To prolong your life, go elsewhere if you can or bring a chaperone.
Mom went in for knee drainage. Got UTI they refused to check it for 3 days. Then check ,oh yes she has a bad one. Sent her out with a bad UTI no meds. Came back next day gave her meds one day ,kept her overnight. No more meds no she is in a nursing home beythey did not treat it. Would not recommend this place at all. It is money greedy place. If I could sue for what they did to my mom I would. Piedmont,take the Xtra miles.
Come in with knee infection,catch a infection. Then they send you to rehab to die. Because they do not want the problem the started. Would not recommend. If you can go to Piedmont you better off to go. Kenneston just wants money!!
If you want your elderly family member to live, do not take them here. Medicare penalizes them for re-admissions. The penalty is more each admission. The doctors are put under pressure to force your elderly family member to “go away” by first trying to convince you they need hospice. If you refuse, they turn up the pressure. Even try to scare you into it. Then when that doesn’t work, they try to guilt you into it. My mom was brought in with extreme confusion and crying into a catatonic state due to dementia…DrDuke was extremely dismissive - kept saying we needed to find the underlying cause but he never offered fluids and we had to ask for a urinalysis and his response was well maybe she could have that…dehydration and UTIs are the most common causes of confusion in a dementia patient…the urinalysis showed a UTI but DrDuke didn’t even have the common courtesy to tell us what they found and they also did not do a urine culture…he sent ... read more
