Dr. Downs-Canner was excellent at explaining the treatment phases and assuaging my initial anxieties. She gave me all the time I needed in our visits to ask questions and be comfortable with the plan. I felt so at ease at our initial visit that I selected her to perform my surgery and MSKCC overall that day. The Lumpectomy incision site and Sentinel Lymph Node scar are so precise and minimal. I am very pleased I chose her and MSKCC.
Stephanie Downs Canner is the best of the best. She is beyond the role of a doctor. Shows compassion, understanding and professionalism. A true blessing in a patient's battle to regain their health both psychologically and physically.
From the very first person who answered the phone, the care at Dr Downs-Canners’ office was amazing. This continued through to the nursing staff and 100% to the doctor herself. She spent a generous amount of time with me in the consultation to ensure I understood my situation and my choices. The surgery went smoothly: the recovery was easy and the follow up was caring. I am unlucky to have breast cancer, but lucky to have found her to be my doctor.
