My special-needs son had an adenoid removal and tubes a few years back. Before the surgery, I asked Dr. Cole to please look to see if he had a tongue tie. My son is nonverbal and it was one thing we needed to check off to be checked. She rolled her eyes at me and said OK I will check but I can tell you right now he’s not.
