North Kansas City hospital sucks I think this hospital stinks they misdiagnosed me. I was diagnosed with an irritated nerve in my eye and when i got a second opinion it turned out to be cancer and now I have lost my eye because of it.
World Class Life Saving Experience! My husband was suffering debilitation due to pneumonia & chronic bronchitis, with weight loss & multiple infections. He was referred to Dr Fieser for additional testing and after going the extra mile...Dr Fieser located a cancerous area in a remote - nearly undetectable area. Good doctor Dr. Haupt is a very good doctor. She is polite and explains everything so you can understand it. She doesn't keep you waiting long, either. Gashland Clinic is a very efficient clinic. They have one desk that you go to for checking in and paying your co-pay and that is it. There are several waiting areas so you have space from other sick people, which I think is a plus!
crappy hospital The last time I had the unfortunate experience of going to NKCs emergency department, What I got for my trouble was: I got charged 248.00 for a doctor I didnt see, (Dr. Jack Stauffer, who apparently couldnt get off his lazy fatass), a nurse who claimed she was a doctor, (i went to the ED because I was sick not stupid), I had to diagnose myself, prescribe my own medicine (the wrong one, imagine that). Not pleased I left Carl Myers after seeking advice regarding a breast reduction procedure. He told me I would look scarred and mutilated, and that my husband wouldn't like it. He told me, however that if I could gain fifty pounds, that I would be a good candidate for gastric bypass surgery. I was humiliated, and left his office sobbing. Another Great Hospital I spent about 2 years of my life in and out of this hospital with my father and his illness. Basically I felt at home and very comfortable with the employees here. We spent many nights here and they made sure we had everything we needed since at one time my father was in ICU for over 4 weeks.
