Went there on a Tuesday night and place was close to empty. I ordered the Porterhouse Pork Chop. It was pretty good. Very smokey taste which was ok but the 2nd most prominent flavor was salt. Pork wasn't moist at all. Just ok overall. My wife ordered the Norwegian Salmon Cake and she really enjoyed it.
The steak was fine and the cocktails were good. The baked chips with bacon dip used lays potato chips, not baked and the fancy potato dish was a pile of greasy shredded potatoes. The port wine for dessert was a generous pour for the price. For the price, the food needs to be better, especially when there were only 2 or 3 tables. It was dead for a Saturday night.
Went there with a group for an early dinner. We met at 4:30. When we get seated. We find out they have a limited menu. Now notification that that would be the case. 65 per person. A salid, beef stroginof and blood orange Crème brûlée. This didn't even include the unsweetened ice tea. At the end it came with a 20% gratuity and on the credit card slip it ask for more. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. 173 for two people with a prescribed menu is horrible.
We were in downtown Springfield at an appointment and decided to get lunch here. The store is decorated very nicely inside. There is a modern contemporary design with a choice of booths or tables. We were met at the front station by the host and shown to our booth. The seats were comfortable. The wait staff arrived quickly to show us the menus and explain specials, and take our drink orders. Went here for our first date. Came back for my birthday 4 years later and we are now married. Quiet spot, tasty food. The cooks were very accommodating to my diet. I was, at the time, a vegetarian.
