The care I received was excellent, but their billing practices leave quite a bit to be desired. I just got notice from a collections agency for a bill from 3 years ago that was not billed to my health insurance provider. There is no way the insurance will cover it now because of the time lapse and they are insisting that I cover it. Why should I be financially responsible for a mistake I did not make? They really need to fix their billing practices.
They seem to provide fine care. But their billing practices need serious work, or are possibly deceptive. The hospital we went to was able to charge our insurance just fine, but Steel Valley Emergency Physicians claim they received nothing back from insurance so they billed me. Work it out with Trinity and my insurance... I'm not paying a bill I received because you can't communicate with the right parties. I didn't go to you, I went to the ER.
