Always enjoy going to Steam when we’re in town. Food is great and Joey at the bar always provides great service and makes excellent drinks for us. Will be back again soon!
Extremely Disappointing Dining Experience I visited this restaurant last Saturday evening. There was a concert nearby, and the parking garage shared by the restaurant and hotel was charging $10 for parking. I explained to the parking attendant that I was dining at the restaurant and not attending the concert, but I was told that everyone entering the lot would be charged the $10 fee. As a Wilmington local, this is our first time here and was pleasantly and unexpectedly surprised! We came before a concert, were politely greeted by the host who was absolutely amazing, sat next to the window and had an incredible service by Min, And the food was amazing. We had two different kinds of oysters, short rib, and the grilled cheese, as well as multiple different types of drink drinks. Everything was top-notch and we will absolutely be back.
We decided to try Steam and honestly expected much better. The “charcuterie board” was $38 and consisted of what looked like basic lunch meat and deli cheese. We actually laughed out loud when it was placed in front of us because it was so underwhelming for the price. The burrata salad was equally disappointing.
