perfect atmosphere The Steam plant reastaurant has a combination of good food, great prices, and a down home atmosphere. it stands among the very best of the area because you can take a trip down memory lane of nostoligic Belvidere IL. not to mention the hospitality of the owner greeting you at the door or just walking up to you and saying hello. I give the Steam Plant 5 stars and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service by the waitresses is outstanding.

Good Breakfasts Steam Plant restaurant is a good place for breakfast. It is a smaller restaurant, but don't let that fool you. Service is good and they are quick on refills.
Good omelets I've never had a problem with the omelets or their potato soup. It is a friendly atmosphere with photos of old town Belvidere, which is nice to see. Some of the other meals I've had have been mediocre - don't get anything with steak.
