In an unassuming building on Independence Ave, with a rather American name, Steam Bowl Chinese Restaurant is serving some of the best Chinese food in this area. One might think twice before entering this establishment, given the area and the outside appearance. Once inside, the place is very clean and we were greeted by smiling, friendly face. Best Chinese Food in Kansas City – This is the best little hidden Chinese Food in Kansas City peirod. It has the best hours then any other Mom and Pop resturant. I've been going to this place for over 20 years now and I have yet to find better tasting chinese food anywhere else in Kansas City. I have these guys on my speed dial on my cell phone. Great to call in and pick up for home or work.
