1950s diner fries up fast-food classics 24 hours a day. – In Short Entering the clean, bright interior is like stepping into an "Archie" comic book. Hurrying across white- and black-checkered floors, staff in crisp white shirts and paper hats take orders, polish chrome and shuffle between booths and the full-service counter. Middle-American diner standards dominate the menu--pickle-covered steak burgers, chili cheeseburgers and thick shakes. Healthier options include chicken, chef and taco salads.

Haven't met a bad Steak n' Shake yet! – Haven't been to the one in St. Pete, but the one on Fowler (near USF - go BULLS!) is a GREAT one.

that's a burger? – i went once and never again, the burgers are so thin and when they are cooked they press the heck out of them. i had the famous milk shake which was not much to rave about. i also had the chili which was cold. i don't know why people rave about this place, overpriced tastless burgers

Steak and Grease – While the shakes are thick and delicious, the hamburgers tend to be overly greasy. The service seems to be a roller-coaster ride also, some trips the service is good, yet the next trip the service borders on terrible.
