Avoid This Company at All Costs! This spring marks six months since we moved into our brand new custom home—and we’re already dealing with some other serious issues. Avoid This company at All Costs! Hiring this company was the worst decision of my life. If I could give zero stars, I would. Eddie Whelan is the definition of an unreliable builder. He takes your money and disappears, ignoring all responsibilities once the job is "done." Our home is still under warranty, yet Eddie refuses to honor his contractual obligations. DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE! My wife and I were looking to do a home addition to our house for a Master bedroom and bathroom. We met with Eddie in October and put down a $4,000 deposit to get things moving. Since then, we have not received 1 phone call. Not a single update on processes at all. We receive very little email communication from David who is supposedly the Vice President of Design and a woman named Lisa. Hiring Eddie Whelan was the worst decision I have ever made. He is the most dishonest and untruthful person I have ever come across. From the start, he made promises that he never intended to keep. The project was delayed beyond reason, and his work was riddled with mistakes and shortcuts. He constantly misrepresented costs and refused to take responsibility for his errors. Eddie Whelan is nothing short of a con artist. At first, he comes across as personable and likable, but don’t be fooled. Once he secures a significant portion of your funds, his attitude takes a drastic turn. When we first hired Eddie Whelan to build our home, he seemed eager and motivated.
