I took my wedding ring into this place to have them size both rings, fuse them and secure the main stone. The guy and I went over everything I wanted, in detail for like 15 minutes. I normally will NOT give someone a bad review but i feel that Steadman's has earned the lowest rating i can possibly give them. i have spent a small fortune with these people and in the past, they have done a pretty decent job. i have a VERY expensive men's bracelet probably valued at over 9k they have repaired in the past, but the last time i took it in and charged me close to $500.00 (the time before that it was over $700.00). i wore the bracelet twice and the 2nd time it fell off of my wrist (while driving in my car thank... read more
Such a great example of one of Salt Lake's enduring local and family business; these gents have run the shop for multiple generations and have rightfully kept their place here, sourcing product from other local crafters no less. Apart from the fact that it's good to support local, these gents are genuinely very friendly and accommodating, highly recommended.
Not a great experience. I have been having my rings fixed, sized and cleaned here for a few years now and it's always been great and honest. This time I took a ring here and it got forgotten about, I waited and expected a call to let me know it was done, but it never came.
