Outrageous Prices – Two years ago one of my cats was extremely sick. She wasn't eating and appeared to have difficulty breathing. I took her to State Street Animal Hospital. The initial visit cost over $850. Even though I okay'd an x-ray, I didn't authorize the additional views that were taken, but considering I was hoping something could be done to help our little one, I let it go. She had fluid in her chest cavity, and absolutely no food in her digestive tract. After two more weeks of giving her water pills and force feedi... read more

Expensive – This guy is a Bum! I had a sick dog that he did not diagnosis in four office visits. The last one he charged me $513.50 two days before the dog died. This was on top of already paying about $1200 for the first 3 office visits. The worst part was my kid had to find a dead pet that suffered. Add that to the $350 to have the dog cremated, no wonder he takes a lot of vacations. Save your money shop around.

Price gouging at its finest – I first want to say that in no way am I upset with the care my animals received from Dr Florian. In fact, my animals received great care by Dr Florian. Having said that...he charged me $718.00 to euthanize a 19 year old, dying, 5 pound cat. I have been trying to get some money back (price match with surrounding offices), but he is unwilling to do so. So....if you have nothing better to do with your money, go here!

Best Vet Around; the Rolls Royce of Vets – Dr. Florian is the best vet around. My wife and I have had many animals over the years and have tried several different vets and have been disappointed by the lack of personal attention. The larger animal hospitals tend to treat your pet as just another patient, nothing special. Dr. Florian gives your pet the attention they should have. He is also extremely knowledgeable but also consults other vets/specialists for the best treatments. We recently had to put our elderly cat to sleep... read more

Excellent Doctor – Dr. Florian is by far the best vet I have ever been to and being raised with animals means I've seen a lot of them. He obviously loves the animals and does everything he can to make them comfortable. I agree that he is more money than the average bear but I believe he is worth it. My only issue is that the little extra money you pay for the office visits also makes boarding a bit more expensive.

Searched for a long time for the perfect vet for our fur family !!!! – Well we found it here. Dr. Florian is by far one of the most involved Dr.'s we have meet. He goes above and beyond for his patients. My dog Murphy had to have over night care/supervision at a hospital and instead of shipping us off to the emergency clinic, (we had a very bad experience at one in the past and did not feel comfortable doing it again) Dr. Florian offered to stayed there all night with our Murphy who got into some tylenol (very serious). The ... read more

Disappointed – I gotta tell ya- this Doctor in fact does have a very nice office, has nice equiptment, and the facility is one of the best out there. He is very friendly and comprehensive as the other reviewer mentioned and I do appreicate the calls from his office to check on my pet when something is wrong. But there is no way I can justify the cost for taking my pet to his animal hosptial. No way. And let me tell you- no one loves my pet more than me. My pet has become not only a part of my family but such a huge and impor... read more

Comprehensive and Thorough Vet – Dr. F. is far more caring and comprehensive than any other area vet. Although the cost may seem a little high at first, Dr. F. is the most thorough vet out there, providing complete care for my pets. He checks up on my pets following any visit or procedure with a phone call, and is accessible and responsive to my needs. The facilities are warm and homey. The equipment is state of the art. The truth is, you really do get what you pay for. I don't hesitate to provide my pets with the best care ... read more
