Joy went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me. I submitted an inquiry for my wedding date about 3 months before the date. Unfortunately, Joy wasn't available on that date. Normally, communication would stop at "I'm not available." However, Joy went way beyond what I was expecting and connected me to several of her colleagues to submit inquiries. I'm currently moving forward with one of her recommendations. Joy has done my makeup several times now for different occasions and I never leave her chair dissatisfied. She is extremely kind, professional, and listens to what you want. I appreciate that she has a natural, glowy touch to her work, and that I leave her still looking like myself. She has a warm persona and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful make-up lesson with Joy! I enjoy makeup but find online tutorials overwhelming (where to start? who to trust to know what they're talking about? who's just trying to sell me products? what's age-appropriate for a "real" person and what's for 20 year-old models? would these colors compliment my skin and hair color? would these styles work with my face shape or against it?). I have visited Joy multiple times over the years. She has given me makeup tutorials as well as did my makeup for a mother's session. She is not only an amazing artist, but a beautiful human as well! Photography by Kelly Maughan.
Joy gave me a makeup tutorial and thanks to her direction and support I have been able to successfully execute the look multiple times on my own. Joy is beyond knowledgeable and even went shopping with me to select product. Additionally, she is also engaging and fun to hang out with! I highly recommend Joy!
