Foreign currency exchange is a broken process with SECU. They will happily order you the currency that you need but they will not tell you what the exchange rate is. I’m not comfortable placing an order where I am not informed of what the cost will be. Wells Fargo is 16.78 pesos per 1USD. SECU could be 18 or 14, who knows, but I’m not taking that risk on a $1000 exchange.
I am new to this area and to State Employees. I visited the branch off Hwy 17 today, and Carol Longo assisted me. She greeted me promptly and was very professional and considerate. This State Employees is easy to get into, with with handicap parking directly at the front doors, for easy access. The bank is very clean and organized. I have done my banking with the credit union ,over 20 yrs now..never had a problem with them that they didn't help resolve until recently... I was selling a vechicle that they financed.. But mysteriously my title got lost in the mail from Raleigh,N.C. I called every week to see had it came in. For three weeks..Every time it was it hasn't came in yet..finally I spoke with JESSICA ,she got right on the problem,calling Raleigh....finally she got a solution to help me...
