Heartbroken to find out they closed down!! My bf and I have absolutely loved this little gem, it’s been my favorite place to eat here in Prescott. Their bbq and their delicious sides have never disappointed me. Please come back Prescott needs you! 😢 Not sure what’s happened but please come back so I can buy more brisket sandwiches and mac n cheese pleaseeee I love you state 48…💔

We were recommended to try and were told they were under new management. Pro: The workers were friendly enough CONS: By far the worst bbq we have had in the state of Arizona. EVERYTHING was COLD. Bland. Mac and cheese, bbq beans were a cross between pork n beans and chili beans. (Weird). Tri tip, pork, Brisket all cold. The sauces are mediocre at best. Smoked mashed potatoes tasted weird. I've been going to State 48 for over 2 years. Under the new ownership, quality has declined dramatically, while prices have increased dramatically. Yesterday, I bought 2 brisket sandwiches (no sides), and a baked potato. That's it. 3 simple items. The price: $50. FIFTY. The meat was dry. All ingredients seem to be of cheap quality. Will not be returning.

First time in today I had the pulled pork and it was excellent it was everything I’d hoped it would be I’m a self proclaimed bbq connoisseur and I’m looking forward to going back I give them an A+ my pulled pork was moist and juicy perfection
