We are located on the scenic Illinois River across from beautiful Starved Rock State Park, approximately one hour from the Chicago's suburbs, Rockford, Peoria, and the Quad City area. RecommendedThe staff at the Starved Rock Marina are Rock Stars! We recently purchased a boat and for our first day out on the water we went to our favorite marina, Starved Rock Marina. Well, after I dropped the boat key (just the key - no bobber, no floatie, no key chain) into the water at the dock and was ready to panic we went inside and the staff immediately jumped to help. Was a very friendly Marina! We went up Thursday July 5th arrived during the evening hours but Vicki was wonderful with us coming in later on in the day. Only thing we came across was only being able to get 20gals of gas when fueling up and they don’t sell bag ice. So we decided not to do much running up in the area for that fact of not being able to fill our tank up. So head back through locks to get some where we could fill our tank up.
Great people and good times! Looking forward to another good River Sweep!
